LCD Vs LED

Entering 2009, the word “LED” emergences more and more frequent in front of us. Earlier this year, on the CES exhibition in United States, Samsung showed us a LED TV with the degree of only 6.5mm thin which is rated the world’s thinnest television. Then all the LED products rushed into the consumer electronics market, lots of manufacturers develop LED products fro a better sale. Besides most international brand gradually keep their focuses on this field. As a matter of fact, more and more electronic gadgets applied the LED or LCD technology to some extent such as MP3 Player, Mobile Phones Digital Camera, Notebook, and Projector, etc. well, the LED is on its way, is LDC on the contrary no more useful?

Which one is to get the top place? Here are some advantages and disadvantages of those two, why not make the right decision yourself! Compared with the LCD, LED have great advantages on brightness, consumption, and refresh rate, etc. it support a wide vision up to 160°angle and could display a variety of text, numbers and animation information, at the same time broadcast television, video, VCD, DVD and other color video signals. The LED technology widens the range of application for a thinner, brighter, clearer display. On the contrary, LCD is more frequently applied to outdoor large screen display for its lower resolution.

Talking about the cost, LCD is a little bit expensive in that the technology, materials and equipment applied were imported, and the liquid crystal display indeed smaller injury than the LED. Anyway, both of them have their respective pros and cons. It depend on your own requirement, what about your choice?

Certain Highlights of iAudio MP3 Players

Many among us will hold the opinion that iAudio is a company that specializes in the manufacture of digital audio players. Little do we realize that iAudio is a subsidiary of Cowon Corporation. In fact, iAudio mp3 players are special audio players that are developed by Cowon. Why did they resort to such a paradigm? That I do not know, but in the rest of the passages, I will try to highlight certain positive aspects on iAudio mp3 players in comparison to the other competing mp3 players. The iAudio products are available with flash memory and hard disk based storage paradigms!

I mentioned the above statement on purpose – one of the latest iAudio mp3 player featured the world’s first miniature hard disk (the hard disk was manufactured by Toshiba). The iAudio mp3-players were released into the market quite lately and within months, they could make significant dents in the businesses of competing mp3 player manufacturers. Even from 2001, the iAudio audio players featured FM tuners and integrated MIC that allowed recording of conversations. These features were considered with reverence by the public back then, and it helped in surging the sales of the mp3-players.

The company also started pioneering in the usage of rechargeable batteries to power the mp3-players. With the passage of time, the functions that were integrated into iAudio mp3-players increased. AA batteries were found to be cumbersome and the consumers were forced to change the batteries every week. In order to escape from the wrath of these customers, the company started releasing augmented models, which came with integrated rechargeable batteries. Now people were provided with the facility to recharge the mp3 players at regular intervals. Even on this day, the company is noted to come up with exclusive products that feature very high battery backup times.

Various sound processing codecs were inherently included with the iAudio mp3 players to impart a highly augmented audio experience. A major share among these codecs was proprietary. Bear in mind that the iAudio mp3 players are manufactured by Cowon – a market leader in releasing audio processing software suites like JetAudio. The mp3 player featuring the first back lighted display screen was also brought forth from the stables of iAudio. Almost all the commonly used audio and video codecs were included natively with the digital audio players and portable media players released by the company.

Most of theiAudio mp3 players featured miniature build size. Despite the miniature sizing, the pricing of the product was also feasible to the conventional audiophiles. This in turn gave a tough time to the competitors because more people liked the features and the build quality associated with iAudio mp3-players. Advanced features like USB On The Go was included into the existing line of mp3 players by 2006. The “swing touch” control system included with many iAudio mp3 players, interested quite many – the result was increased sales and acceptance of the product! Plenty of online vendors specialize in the sales and servicing of iAudio audio players.

Top Four Features of Modern MP3 Players

When they first came into the market, MP3 players were very rudimentary gadgets. That was mostly at the turn of turn of the 21st century, and our memories of the first MP3-players are still quite vivid in our minds. The only file format they could support was the MP3 format, in keeping with their name. They were mostly audio gadgets, to say that the only output you could typically expect from them was sound – either through a speaker, or more commonly through earphones.

In a period of less than ten years, MP3-players have evolved greatly. Modern MP3 players are a far cry from the rudimentary gadgets of the old, in terms of features.

1) One of the top features in the modern MP3-players is multi-file format support. As mentioned earlier, the best you could expect from the early MP3 player was support for the MP3 format – after all, weren’t you looking for a ‘MP3 players,’ tended to be the question. The array of file formats supported by modern MP3 players, however, is truly amazing – from the MP3 format itself, of course, to Microsoft’s .Wav format, to the MIDI and even truly ‘amazing’ file formats, like .FLAC for codecs. Indeed, the modern MP3-player plays pretty much everything presented to it in a digitized format.

2) The second top feature to find in the modern MP3-players is USB functionality – which effectively makes them compatible with all other modern digital gadgets. If your memory serves you well, you will recall that the early MP3-players used to be more or less ’stand alone devices’ so that the only way you could load music into them was, for instance, by buying those so-called ‘MP3s.’ Thanks to USB functionality, however, there is a very great variety of places from which you can get music for the modern MP3 players – from the Internet, to other people’s MP3-players and even from some radio receiver sets. Some MP3-players have ports through which they can take in USB devices, such as flash disks and memory cards, whereas some even have features which allow them to function as flash disks themselves (so that other devices like computers can recognize them as such).

3) The third top feature that you will find in modern MP3-players is video capability – which has effectively transformed them from just being audio gadgets, into being audio-visual gadgets. In most modern MP3 players, you not only get to listen to your music, but even see the music videos behind it, on the MP3 player screens. The screens on these modern MP3 players can be anything from LCD based to TFT based, to make way for quality viewing.

4) The fourth top feature that you will find in modern MP3-players is a lot of storage space. Today, we have MP3 coming with as much as 20 GB of storage space – more space than some older computers could ever offer even with extensions. This storage space effectively converts the MP3 from just the file playing devices there were initially, to being file storage devices as well.
